Isn’t it nice to hear about a community event that helps our neighbors who may be struggling, who may have to make difficult choices with how to spend their hard-earned money and their limited “free” time? I’m proud to share about such an event that will take place in a couple weeks at the Seattle Center’s KeyArena — the Seattle/King County Clinic which will provide free medical, dental, and optical services to underserved people.
According to the Seattle Center’s website, more than 1500 volunteers provided over 25,000 hours of service to 3400 patients during the 2014 event. This year clients can access services October 22-25. Information on how to obtain tickets needed for admission and other details may be found at http://seattlecenter.org/skcclinic/ On that page is a video from last year’s clinic; after watching it, you may then want to consider volunteering either your time or making a monetary donation. It always feels good to give when you are able.
